The Reality of
HR Work

Understanding the context
HR operates within.

HR teams operate at the intersection of people, systems, compliance and strategy, often holding risk, uncertainty and expectation on behalf of the wider organisation.

As organisational complexity increases, so does the cognitive and emotional load for those working in HR. New systems, evolving expectations, constant change and competing priorities can place sustained pressure on individuals.

The challenges facing HR are rarely individual capability issues. They are structural, systemic and contextual.

Red Jacaranda Group exists to name this reality clearly, and to support organisations to respond to it intentionally and responsibly.

Speaking

We deliver insight‑led speaking and facilitation for conferences, leadership forums and internal events.

Sessions focus on:

  • The lived reality of HR and People & Culture roles
  • Burnout, pressure and emotional load
  • The tension between care, compliance and strategy

These sessions support organisations to better understand and support the people who enable everyone else.

The HR Reset Room

The HR Reset Room is a community for HR professionals who recognise both the challenge and the reward of People & Culture work.

It is a space to:

  • Step out of performance mode
  • Speak honestly without judgement
  • Learn alongside peers who understand the work
  • Reset, reflect and reconnect

The HR Reset Room exists to reduce isolation and support sustainability across HR careers.
